Happy New Year PENT Cadre, SELPA Directors, and Supporters-at-Large:

In my work around the country I am seeing a growing emphasis on social/emotional learning (SEL) curriculum. There are many evidence-based curricula to choose from, and positive changes in student behavior as a result of incorporating this curriculum are well documented. When combined with PBIS, schools can address externalizing and internalizing behaviors in Tier 1 of MTSS.

The links below will take you to research and testimonials that we may all find useful in fostering adoption in our schools.

Wishing you the very best in 2016.

I hope to see many, many of you at the Spring PENT Forums!
